The Oversized Pulley Wheel System (OSPW) from CeramicSpeed is the logical consequence of minimizing friction. Due to the large derailleur rollers with 17 teeth at the top and 17 teeth at the bottom, the looping radii of the chain are significantly minimized, which is noticeable in less friction. In addition, the larger derailleur rollers offer a longer service life than other systems available on the market.

Technically, the OSPW system is equipped with high-performance bearings and special ceramic balls made of third-degree silicon nitrite. The bearing consists of a hardened steel raceway with an ultra smooth polished groove. The CeramicSpeed bearing balls are 15% harder, 100% more flexible and 99% more resilient than commercially available ceramic balls. They are considered to be the best ceramic bearings in the world.
The bearing cage consists of carbon fibers, which are reinforced with polyamide, so that the forces can be better distributed and absorbed and the rear derailleur works perfectly even in the most adverse conditions.

Coated version
Compared to the already high-quality standard bearings from CeramicSpeed, the “coated” version has a very thin protective layer applied to the bearing rings. The latter become even harder, have a 60% longer life cycle and even lower rolling resistance.

maintenance
It is important to carefully lubricate bearings to maintain performance and longevity. Simply apply oil to the seals of the bearings so that the oil can enter the bearing. Carry out this process when lubricating the chain or after washing the bike or after riding in wet and muddy conditions.

IMPORTANT
When traveling, please remember to dismantle the entire rear derailleur, as very few bicycle transport bags offer enough space for the OSPW system.
