Gelu Carbon Creation was brought to life in 2013 by Anghel Ivanof. Anghel has more than 20 years of experience in processing composite materials. It all started in the early 1990s with the manufacture and repair of carbon components for e.g. B. speedboats, canoes and surfboards.
After an excursion into aviation technology, which began in 1999, it was time in 2005 to apply the knowledge gained to the production of high-quality bicycle parts. The first prototype of a carbon saddle saw the light of day in 2006.
Thanks to the close collaboration with an orthopaedist, an engineer and some of the best Portuguese athletes, a product has been developed step by step that also meets the needs of the best athletes.

With the Combo K, Gelu has a completely new approach to the implementation of “combos” of saddle and seat post. Instead of laminating all the parts rigidly together, a special connection between the saddle and the seat post was designed, which does not require a saddle rail and still allows an adjustment in the angle and approx. 20 mm in length. This is made possible by the unique attachment, with screw heads specially manufactured for this saddle. They are countersunk in the saddle channel in order to contribute to a clean look as unobtrusively as possible. Technical specifications:
