The rear derailleur wheels from the Danish company CeramicSpeed represent the absolute high-end solution for all drivers who want to get the most out of themselves and their material in the race and who are concerned about every saved watt. Rear derailleur rollers and especially their bearings have to compensate for a lot of friction. Depending on the gear ratio, these turn 4 – 5 times faster than the crank and thus benefit particularly from low-friction and durable bearing . The CeramicSpeed-SpeedBalls balls are 15% harder than those of the competition and can absorb significantly more forces. They also have an incredibly smooth surface, thereby reducing rolling resistance to a minimum. With all these improvements, the lifespan could be increased 6 times.

Compared to the already high-quality standard bearings from CeramicSpeed, the “coated” version has a wafer-thin protective layer on the bearing rings. The latter become even harder, have a further 60% longer life cycle and even lower rolling resistance.

The oil and grease included in the scope of delivery are used for maintenance and have been specially designed for these bearings. Lubricants from other manufacturers are not recommended for this.
